History
Community focused from origin to present
From its inception in 1997, the concept of EMHC has been to provide skilled, highly advanced treatment within the context of compassionate, patient-centered care.
EMHC’s founders, Michael and Bette Arndt, Don Parsons EMT-P and Tony Ganz R.N., fulfilled this vision by establishing an ambulance company which is exclusively locally owned and operated, allowing for the utmost in individualized patient care.
Michael Arndt’s first experience with ambulances came during the Vietnam War where he served two tours of duty as a medic. This experience led in turn to his seeking a license in Registered Nursing, specializing in Emergency Medicine upon his return stateside.
As President of EMHC, Michael Arndt has seen what was once a single office, 5 ambulance operation expand to a 20+ ambulance/wheelchair van operation, housed in a 14,000 square foot facility. Bette Arndt's business experience was instrumental in setting up the financial structure of EMHC. While Mr. Ganz and Mr. Parson have since left EMHC to pursue other careers, their individual contributions to the company continue to impact its success today.
